Access to Kishigon has been easy and
convenient ever since the Shinkansen bullet train was launched
into central Japan in the 1990s. The trip from Tokyo to
Takasaki, Gunma Prefecture's largest city, takes only 50
minutes. At Takasaki, you will face two choices: 1) a fairly
longish bus or taxi trip to Ikaho's Kishigon or 2) another
train ride of about 25 minutes on the Jyoetsu line to
Shibukawa, from which buses taxis also go to Kishigon, now
aware of the onsen attractions in Nikko, Izu and Hakone, but
they are not so well acquainted with those in central Japan's
Gunma Prefecture, which many Japanese believe are the best hot
spring in the entire country. Come to Kishigon and enjoy, just
as Japanese have been doing for more than four
centuries. |
